VMware for Cloud Computing

Continuous availability is the promise of the cloud. Technology updates sans downtime is a part of this promise. One of the factors that enable cloud services to deliver this promise is the use of VMware as part of their service offering.

VMware is equipped with a series of processing kit. VMware vSphere enables server consolidation and scalable functions as a layer of high performance virtualization.

VSphere abstracts server hardware resources and makes the server shared between virtual machines. Consolidate workloads, automate business continuity, and facilitates centralized management of all applications.

VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager is a disaster recovery solution for multi-site environments. The Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) aligns IT resources to business needs and orchestra balancing load between host machines, and optimizes the energy consumption during the peaks and valleys of the sector.

vMotion eliminates the need for planned downtime, allowing the migration of virtual machines.

Hadoop workloads can be performed with vSphere to improve usability, reliability and agility in the data center.

VMware offers more control over the network to the end user. Allows users to define priority access to network resources in line with company policies. Network provisioning and management can be centralized monitoring / data center can be obtained by a process of aggregation network.

High availability is based on VMware VCP550 promises that are made. However, VMware does not address the IT administrator with the complexity of traditional clustering and is based on fault tolerance promising data loss in case of server errors. It is interesting to note that safety is not compromised even when performance is improved by removing fingerprints anti-virus. Security is downloaded into a virtual device called vShield Point provided by partner organizations. vShield Endpoint is designed to remove antivirus storms, implement access policies for end users, and manage compliance personalized facilitate access to existing law mandates configurations.
